I began my working career on a dairy farmer near Kaponga, South Taranaki near my family.

In the early 1980’s I moved into the real estate industry. These were exciting times in New Plymouth with the “Think Big” projects in full swing and with workers moving into the area, houses and sections were selling rapidly.
During this time I worked hard at selling real estate and completed my AREINZ qualification in 1990.

I was also employed by Landcorp selling surplus government property all over Taranaki. This was interesting and varied - from selling commercial land, sections, schools, houses, police stations and post offices.

I then spent 2 years in Stratford as the manager of the new TSB Real Estate office. This was followed by a move back to New Plymouth, which saw me buy a share of Energy City Realty and specialise in property management. In 2000 I sold my share and opened my own real estate business, John Holdom Real Estate.

I am excited to be associated with Jack in the launch of his new business and bring my expertise to Town & Country Realty.
