Kyle has lived in Raglan all of his life, leaving only for periods to study at Canterbury University in the early 90’s and to later live and work overseas in both Europe and Asia until 2004. Kyle’s father has been a long standing and successful livestock agent in the Raglan district for over 40 years which naturally nurtured his interest in the sales environment.

Since beginning his real estate career Kyle has rapidly become a leading sales agent in lifestyle, coastal and rural property sales. In 2007 he was awarded ‘Century 21 New Zealand Rookie of the Year’ and followed on to rank in the top 10 of Century 21 agents nationwide from 2007 until 2012 as well as achieving "NZ Marketing person of the Year 2009" and "Rural Salesperson of the Year 2010".

January 2013 saw an exciting shift in the company master branding to the Australiasian superbrand LJ Hooker while retaining the long standing and well known Waikato brand of George Boyes & Co Limited as the company sub-franchise.

Kyle ranked 8th from over 700 salespeople nationwide in 2014/2015 putting him in the exclusive 'Multi Million Dollar Captain's Club.' He was the winner of 'Top Marketing & Innovation Agent NZ' and 'Best Business Growth' Agent for LJ Hooker NZ for 2014/15. He was admitted to the LJ Hooker Top 500 Club for 2014/15 putting him in the top 2.5% of agents over the whole Australasian network and remains a Top 500 member in 2017. Kyle is currently ranked 21st out of a sales force of 500 Salespeople nationwide for 2018-19 and in August 2019 was made a 'Life Member' of the multi-million dollar Captain's Club.

He also sponsors the Raglan Bowls Club, Raglan Junior Rugby on an ongoing annual basis as well as other events such as the popular annual LJ Hooker Single Fin Surfing Contest held at Manu Bay.

Apart from real estate, his interests include surfing, snowboarding, trail riding, growing vegetables on his lifestyle block, the odd round of golf and spending time with his friends and young family.

Leslie Joseph Hooker (LJ Hooker), a hard worker who started in business very young, opened his first Real Estate Company in 1928 and after a difficult start during the 1930’s depression, expanded his business into Australia’s largest Real Estate Empire. George Boyes and Company have similar historical roots.

Today, LJ Hooker continues to be a huge player in the Australasian Real Estate scene.

LJ Hooker George Boyes is an iconic name. George Boyes, the company’s founder, started as a Land Agent in Hamilton in 1906. George continued in Land Agency Business until his death in 1958. During which time the Agency was the Hamilton Property Leader. Beyond that George Boyes was lead by some of the Regions most well known Business and Political Leaders.
Coming from a well known Waikato Real Estate family, Greig’s father Bill, with 30 years in the Industry, was a well known North Waikato farmer and ‘Land Agent’.

Now, Greig, with more than 25 years in the industry leads the largest individually owned Real Estate Company in the Waikato; with offices in Hamilton, Ngaruawahia, Huntly, Pokeno, Tuakau, Raglan.

In 2000 Greig joined the business and in 2006 took ownership. Having weathered the worldwide financial crisis of the period 2007 - 2012, Greig has now set the company the challenge of diversification and expansion under the LJ Hooker brand.

Greig is assisted by a dedicated team and conducts Real Estate in all the disciplines - Residential, Country - Lifestyle Sales, Coastal Sales, Commercial Sales - Leasing and Property Management - Letting.

Like all good teams - on Greig’s team is his wife Natasha Metcalfe-Black. Natasha has her own passion for the industry and company and with her team runs the Property Management group.
