We first came into contact with Garry Webb from LJ Hooker when we inquired about a property north of Cambridge. Garry advised us that the particular property was already under contract and said he’d keep our details handy to let us know when something similar was listed. Normally, we wouldn’t expect to hear back from any agent as has been our experience in the past. Garry phoned us about 8 weeks later and said a property had been listed which he thought would be of interest. We arranged to meet him and view the property and it was perfect. We made a conditional offer on the property and after some negotiations, it was accepted. Garry worked very hard for the vendor at this point and we admired his dedication to obtain the best price for his client. Whilst Garry worked very well for the vendor, he kept us fully informed throughout the process. It was a complicated sale and purchase due to our house needing to be sold within a particular time frame – Garry kept in contact with us on a regular basis and it was with some relief we were able to go unconditional on our Cambridge house. Garry is a professional expert in his field – he stands out from the rest of the agents we have dealt with over many years of sales and purchases. In Cambridge, we could count on one hand the number of ‘good’ agents in the area – Garry rises well above those few. “Garry Webb was the agent responsible for selling our lifestyle property in Marychurch Road, Matangi in November 2014. We considered the property to be ideally suited for a retiring farmer and listed it with Bayleys Real Estate in September 2013. The property was initially offered for auction at Bayleys recommendation but attracted no buyers at auction and in October 2014 only one (unacceptable) offer was tabled. We transferred agency to Garry in October 2014 and accepted an offer in November 2014 with the sale becoming unconditional in December 2014. Garry embraced the merits and limitations of the property and targeted realistic prospective buyers. He got a very satisfactory result in a short time. We were impressed by Garry's straight-forward manner and the fact that he presented no tyre-kickers - something we were weary of from our previous experiences.
