Westmere is a popular inner city suburb just 10 minutes drive from the CBD. The area is predominantly occupied by bungalows and has approximately 1300 homes which are located in a tightly confined area which runs from Wellpark Avenue in the East down to the waterfont Rawene Ave in the West. It is spilt into two parts being the parallel avenues off Garnet Road and the very popular peninsular off Lemington Rd.
