Born in Devonport and living most of his life in Takapuna, Chris has a formal training from Auckland School of Architecture, and a qualification in Yacht Design. From this sound technical background he pursued a career in offshore yacht construction, and has raced one and a half times around the World. He lives in Hauraki with his wife and 9 year old son.

Chris has published several articles in magazines and newspapers, and has won awards for photography, and for an offshore sailing yacht he designed and built.
