Upon completing a degree at Waikato University at the age of 24, I bought my first investment property. This was the beginning of an investment portfolio and a passion for Real Estate. Now I get the opportunity and great pleasure in assisting other people to realise their real estate goals.

Having a teaching background of 11 years helped me develop:
• A wide breadth of networks
• Strong listening skills
• A confident and effective delivery style
• A good understanding of positive teamwork

I loved teaching, particularly the last five years at Cambridge High School. However, in 2005 an opportunity arose to work for a great company. The Bayleys mission statement reads, ‘we are committed to maximising the value of our client’s real estate assets through superior customer service’. After 13 years working with the great Bayleys team I firmly believe in our ability to market quality property and achieve outstanding results.

I have a love for sport, in particular rugby and am affiliated with the Hamilton Old Boys Club. I have now focussed my rugby interest to refereeing and have set high goals in this field. I have travelled extensively throughout the UK and Europe, basing myself in London for three years. Whilst travelling through Spain, I met my wife Shani, we have four beautiful children. We also lived in Japan for two years, where I played rugby whilst experiencing their beautiful culture.

I live with three basic principles; to succeed you must be ‘hardworking, reliable and honest’.

At 19 I purchased my first home. Three renovations later, I am still as passionate about real estate as I was the first time I went through an open home. Of my renovations, the most notable is possibly the one we completed as contestants on series one of The Block NZ. After ten weeks of hardwork, little sleep and lots of cameras, Bayleys sold 72 Anzac Street for us at auction. And so my relationship with this great company began.

My parents are dairy farmers; as such I have had the great pleasure of growing up in the wider Waikato region. Primary and secondary schooling began in Otorohanga and finished at St Peters in Cambridge. I completed my tertiary study with a degree in Marketing and Public relations from the University of Waikato which lead to an opportunity with The Waikato Rugby Union where I spent three years delivering marketing strategies and managing events ranging from ITM Cup to All Blacks tests.

Living in the Waikato region and working for the Waikato Rugby Union has taught me a lot about pride of place and the importance kiwis place on where we call home. I know how lucky I am to be able to assist people in the buying and selling process that is part-and-parcel with finding their new place to call home.

Tennis is a passion that I have known all my life. After picking up a racquet at the age of ten, I went on to represent New Zealand a total of eight times before the age of 18. Following this, I took up a full tennis scholarship to the University of Texas, San Antonio where I spent a year travelling, studying and playing tennis abroad. Tennis has taught me the values of commitment, discipline and determination. Lessons that I use as the foundations for my life in work and in play.

I have been fortunate to enjoy some extensive travel. Travel has a knack for teaching you about what there is to love and appreciate about home – and there is plenty to love about Hamilton.

My commitment to consistently delivering an outstanding level of service, knowledge and customer care provide some clues as to why Bayleys was the right choice for me, and is the right choice for you.
