Buy yourself a piece of Waihi's gold mining history. Sited on a generous 1,001sqm section, this cute as a button Miners Cottage has seen many alterations over the years. Recently renovated to a very good standard, with new kitchen and bathroom, it has 3 double bedrooms. French doors open out from the kitchen/dining room to your sun-baked Nor/west garden. The cottage is not big but very cosy and is ideal for a couple or a single or small family.
There is also a rustic old shed. The house has a fresh coat of paint on the exterior. The section has oodles of potential and heaps of space, play cricket on the front lawn.
The lovely old pear tree is currently laden with fruit and the walnuts are falling now, ready for harvest. There are also ferns and a lovely oak at the front. Japanese maple and flowering cherries provide colour in the off season.
Waihi is a lovely, friendly town with gorgeous Waihi Beach a 10 minute drive away. The beautiful Karangahake Gorge offers the rail trail and historic gold workings to explore.
The owners are very reluctantly parting with their happy place. Please call Sue to view.

I moved to Waihi 15 years ago, purely by chance, when we retired from dairy farming and were looking to buy a business on the East Coast. Now, 9 years later, I am no longer a retailer and am fully committed to both Waihi and real estate. We have a great town here with wonderful people and a colourful gold mining history.
My interests, when I have time, include fishing, walking and horses.
I have 2 overqualified, adult children, one of whom lives in Australia and the other is looking forward to working in Japan as of next year.
We recently purchased a "Handymans Delight", so I believe my interests will be redirected towards renovation!.
In any event, anybody who would like more information on Waihi properties, please contact me at anytime. (Except when I'm fishing)
