Brent was born and raised in the Wairarapa region. Following the completion of his secondary school education he entered the dairy industry due to his love of the land and animals.
In 1999, Brent moved to the Manawatu where he spent 20 years as a hands on Business Operations Manager, milking 2700 cows for Braeside and Galaxy Dairies. Over this period Brent ascertained an in depth understanding of what it takes to develop and maintain a successful business. Brent has been involved in the dairy education sector as an assessor for Massey University Veterinary students, along with writing numerous articles relative to the rural sector, for example, ‘The Dairy Exporter’, and ‘Farmers Weekly’.
Brent has high expectations of himself and always strives to achieve. He reflects on his practices and bench marks his work against the highest standards of conduct, which he then implements the new knowledge from these experiences into his business operations. He has been fortunate to win many national awards in the dairy sector as well as judging the Share Milker and Farm Manager of the year awards. He brings an analytical approach to the coal face along with a work ethic that is rarely seen. Through his wealth of industry knowledge and depth of contacts, within the rural professional and corporate sector, he set out to embark on a new career in Real Estate.
In 2019, along with his family, he relocated to the mighty Waikato, to his wife’s home town of Te Awamutu. When he’s not working, you will either find him off the coast chasing crayfish and paua or spending time with his family.
