Simon Upperton

After a 20 year successful international banking career Simon returned home and in 2015 commenced a new career in Real Estate with Bayleys. Awarded rookie of the year for the Macky Group, after two years established Borders Northland in November 2017.

Simon Upperton was raised in Kerikeri before entering the corporate world in Auckland, London & Sydney. After a 20 year international banking career Simon returned home to his beloved Bay of Islands and started a new career in real estate. Always wanting to establish his own business after two years with Bayleys Kerikeri, Simon bought the Franchise rights to Borders Northland in November 2017. Since then Borders has gone from strength to strength selling a variety of properties from sections, lifestyle blocks, residential houses and stunning waterfront properties. Properties in the Far North have such variety and some spectacular locations, its a joy to introduce buyers to properties in the Far North. Half tourist guide, half real estate agent its fun in the sun (well mostly). Launching a low cost 2.5% commission structure has certainly been popular with vendors who have felt they have been paying too much for too long.
