“Margo quickly sorted out what was important to us in a home. Three properties later…we found it. Margo was wonderful to deal with. She was professional in her manner, yet took a personal interest in our family, which was very important to us as, with three children, all parties had to be considered.†Karen & Peter Jones
Margo has the edge
“Margo is a great sales person – she is good looking, dresses with flair, displays confidence, moves quickly and has an exceptionally good voice both on the telephone and in person. She handled every part of the process professionally, did not get too chummy which we found benefited us, and did not waste our time with lengthy phone calls. She kept us up-to-date each day with a short, factual phone call or message so we did not feel that she was applying pressure on us to get the house sold. To the contrary, she was always positive in assuring us she would find the right buyer.†Helen Maich
“Margo exudes a natural enthusiasm, openness and exuberance. These qualities, together with her professionalism and extensive knowledge of the real estate industry, provide her clients with excellence and top quality service.†Selina Tilley
Margo shows sensitivity
"Margo… handled the sale of our late Mother's house. Both my sister and I live a considerable distance from Wellington, and after meeting Margo we were able to place the marketing and sale totally in Margo's hands. We were kept informed every step of the way. Margo's thoughtfulness, tact, family consideration, and above all professional manner helped to make a difficult but necessary situation to flow smoothly. It was apparent that our interests were paramount at all times." Erin Marshall & Marlane Corbett
Margo goes the extra mile
“Having met many real estate agents, Margo stood out in the crowd. Her warm personality and adaptability made us feel totally confident in her ability and she eased our stress levels with her constant happy, positive personality… Her self-presentation and the company’s were what only can be said – outstanding. …after [an] outstanding negotiation we accepted. Not only did Margo’s service stop there, but also after our departure, Margo supervised and coordinated our furniture removal. Nothing seemed to be too much to ask her to do.†John Gallagher
"…I found her at all times to be responsive, efficient and concerned that the sale went as smoothly as possible. Margo also ensured that minor maintenance jobs were taken care of which certainly made my life easier as an absentee vendor… Margo… makes the sales process as stress free as possible [and] was able to obtain a very good price for my property". Jo Kelly
Margo brings clarity
"My husband and I have recently transferred back to Wellington from Hamilton and had been searching for a property to purchase or possibly build. We were a little unsure of what we really wanted, did not know where we wanted to live etc. Margo… listened to our needs and what we wanted to achieve… with her help, we finally realised that we were after capital gain and needed to look at an area that would provide us with this.
From beginning to end my husband and I were extremely impressed with Margo's passion and professionalism to assist us to find our dream home.†Toni King
Margo defines excellence
"Clearly very alive to the tone of the market, and with access to an excellent database of potential buyers, Margo created interest in my property within days of being invited to view it… she was able to bring me two offers within a week… Margo was a pleasure to work with - always positive, always available and in touch, always supportive, helpful, cheerful and friendly. She stands high in my regard." J F Burch
Margo builds strong business relationships
If Margo has a ‘frequent transaction’ club, I would probably qualify. I have been on both the buying and selling side of Margo’s services with two sales and one purchase.
After a consultation with three prospective agents, Margo was the clear winner. We immediately connected with Margo’s style and we were aligned with the Tommy’s selling strategy.
Margo has many of the attributes that I would associate with a good salesperson. These attributes were visible to me from both a buying and selling perspective.
Most importantly, Margo secured the outcome that we were seeking in each of the three transactions. I have a high degree of confidence in Margo’s ability to qualify and connect the ‘right’ buyer with the seller at the ‘right’ price.
Margo’s passion and relentless commitment to achieve an optimal outcome were visible throughout the process. I would characterise Margo’s style of communication as ‘efficient.’ Margo set realistic expectations and then kept us informed on a timely basis with the information that we needed to know. Blake Swift

Listing and selling real estate is not just about houses; more importantly, it is about people. Communicating with them, gaining their trust and giving confidence in your integrity and ability to assist them in meeting their real estate objectives. Steve Simpson through his friendly and personable attitude to people and to life generally has these skills that immediately give confidence.
A Wellingtonian at heart, Steve was educated at St Patrick’ College and in earlier years, represented NZ in water polo and Wellington in both water polo and rugby. Typical of a lot of Kiwis, he did the usual OE travelling extensively and living in Canada for a number of years.
Since his return to Wellington, Steve has honed his people and management skills as a co-founder and managing Director of the popular Wellington Sports Café in Courtenay Place from 1998-2004. He then worked for Moneybox Financial Services as an Insurance Advisor from 2004-2007. Steve was an instant success and an award winner in the Insurance Industry being named as a Gold Advisor and AMP New Advisor of the Year (a national award) in 2006. Moneybox Financial Services have a close affinity with the real estate industry and it was Steve’s association with real estate agents and in particular with Tommy’s Real Estate that has influenced his move into real estate sales. Steve has already had experience as a property owner, renovator and new home developer so real estate sales is a natural progression for him and is an industry in which he has already acquired a high level of product knowledge.
Steve, by his own admission is a passionate Wellingtonian, a strong advocate for Seatoun where he lives with his wife Joanna and 3 children and when time permits, he loves to relax with his family or to perhaps leave the work place behind and take to the hills on his dirt bike.
In the words of Tommy Heptinstall, Managing Director of Tommy’s Real Estate
“Steve is a wonderful person of high morals and integrity. He is a popular member of our sales team and I have complete confidence in his ability to deliver a high level of customer service and to succeed in real estate.â€
What Steve’s clients say…
Steve is honest and up-front
“I have known Stephen Simpson for over 20 years and have acted for him in numerous property and legal matters for most of that time. I believe that I have a good knowledge of Stephen’s character, ability and personality.
In my opinion, I believe Stephen to be an extremely capable and motivated person. Stephen has taken on various challenges during his life. Stephen has been highly successful in most, if not all, of those challenges and as a consequence I believe him to be not just confident, but also someone who has experience in different aspects of life which he is able to use to his advantage in his present career path.
In my opinion, I believe Stephen to be a person of integrity, someone who is honest and up-front with people. I am aware that people do appreciate dealing with Stephen in business matters as a consequence of these characteristics.
Stephen is motivated and will succeed in life.â€

Steve is very professional and enthusiastic
“Wanting to add a rental property to my investment portfolio, I elected to call upon Steve Simpson of Tommy’s due to his extensive experience in the procurement of rental properties in the Wellington region.
Steve spent time firstly listening to my brief on the type of property I was looking for then provided valuable advice on the current market conditions.
After careful consideration, Steve identified the type of property that best matched our profile and then proactively went about to find it.
Within a short period of time, Steve had located a number of options and subsequently we successfully purchased a property.
I was delighted with the result and found Steve to be very professional and enthusiastic. Steve is easy going and with his good sense of humour makes him a pleasure to deal with. I will certainly deal with Steve again in the future and would recommend his services to others.†Stephen Natoli
Steve is considerate, tactful, obliging and friendly
During our professional relationship with Steve we experienced;
• his friendly, but not “pushy†manner in showing us through the house
• his loyalty to his company and colleagues whilst dealing with our disappointment over a requested earlier contact
• him giving us “space†to look around and see things for ourselves – so we did not feel rushed
• his availability and offers to facilitate further visits
• his support for us as viewers with information and answers to questions regarding the property
• his giving information to us as buyers, without prejudicing the vendors interest
We experienced Steve as being a considerate, tactful, obliging and friendly person, committed to his company and the Vendor, and would recommend him to other potential buyers. Ainslie & Bill
