February 2007 she sold an iconic Marine Parade property for just over $6million for re-development of five luxury beach houses of which 3 have sold. In 2009 she sold another prime waterfront property for over $6million.

A lifetime as a "self starter" prepared Kay well for the real estate career in which she has thrived since 1998.

Kay succeeded in the tough men's fashion retail business owning stores in Rotorua, Tauranga and Hamilton for sixteen years from the age of 21. During these busy years she brought up three wonderful children, now all working in Europe on the Superyachts.
