Mark was raised in Tauranga and on completion of his schooling at Tauranga Boys’ College he attended Waikato and Canterbury Universities and graduated with a Bachelor of Management Studies B.M.S (Finance and Marketing) and a Masters of Forestry Science MFSci.

Following university, Mark spent three years working in both the corporate and private sectors of the forestry industry in New Zealand. This then lead onto six years of sales and commercial roles within the telecommunications and energy sectors in the United Kingdom. Mark returned to New Zealand early in 2005 with his family to take up the role with Bayleys Real Estate (Success Realty Limited) of managing and growing the Waikato & King Country Rural Sales team.

With a rural market share in excess of 30% and personal and team awards including the Auction Sales Award, Bayleys Way Award, Marketing Award and Country Salesperson Awards in all years from and including 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 clearly reflecting the team and personal successes.

The Waikato & King Country team covers all areas from Awakino to Port Waikato on the West Coast and Waihi Beach to Thames to Miranda on the East Coast specialising in all types of country real estate from commercial farms to lifestyle properties.

With extensive experience of client negotiation and working with sales teams, strong commercial acumen and over 10 years of real estate experience Mark’s focus is to ensure maximum value is achieved on every property sale. Working with professional organisations including major lending institutions, lawyers and rural groups is a key priority for Mark and adds another dimension to Bayleys marketing efforts.

Mark lives on a rural property near Cambridge with his wife Emily and their three sons Lachlan, Murdoch and Hunter.
