Lots 4 & 5, 153 Airport Road,
Licensed Real Estate Salesperson (REA 2008), Member of the REINZ
Sean Stephens has joined the existing NAI Harcourts team in Hamilton.
Sean will primarily look after the thriving Te Rapa East area, while also focussing on industrial areas in Melville and Hamilton Airport.
Sean brings 20+ years management experience to the table, all in the fast changing media industry. The last eight were at Fairfax Waikato, the final two years as Commercial Manager, responsible for the Waikato Times, 11 community titles across the region and the national Agri division.
So commercial real estate is something of a change, but the management experience and skills garnered over the past 20 years will hold him in good stead as he makes the transition. Previous roles did include a reasonable degree of direct commercial real estate involvement in sales and leasing so the change isn‘t that foreign.
“Business has been my professional life for such a long time so this move seems quite natural,” he says. “The most important traits are the same – good customer service and attention to detail. Nail those and you shouldn’t go wrong.”
The timing is also perfect, with Hamilton’s current growth unprecedented and canny investors increasingly looking to commercial real estate to make their money work best for them. To capture those opportunities you need a specialist commercial and industrial sales and leasing team, with good market share and reputation to back it up. NAI Harcourts ticks those boxes.
“It’s why I joined them.”
Sean is married to Jo, and they have two children James (13) and Kate (10).
Away from work Sean has been heavily involved with junior rugby through the grades at Suburbs Community Sports Club.
“We’ve been part of the Hamilton and wider Waikato community for nearly eight years now. We really enjoy it here. It’s a great place to bring up kids, but commercially it’s also got so much going for it.”
