MULTI MILLION DOLLAR VIEWS At Whakatiwai just north of Kaiaua on our Forgotten Coast. Hauraki Plains College Zone

A New Zealand Award winning home it is designed to maximise the views from this glorious, elevated totally peaceful and private site. Each living and master bedroom window frames its own stunning picture from the Coromandel Ranges over the vibrant Firth of Thames to the east and the bush clad Hunua Ranges to the west. The view is encapsulated from sunrise to sunset.

The quality built home is designed with ease of living uppermost. The designer kitchen is the true heart of the home with both formal and family living flowing out to sheltered level lawns and a covered all weather bbq area. The luxurious master suite receives the first sun of the day and benefits from separation from the guest bedrooms.

The section has been professionally terraced with subtropical gardens leading down to the magnificent stand of mature native bush abundant with bird life.

Leave the frenetic city hustle and pollution and come to where your quality of living is assured.
Life is about having fun, entertaining both family and friends in an environment the envy of many but available to very few.

Living in the area we delight in promoting all the wonderful lifestyle opportunities at our back door:
Mirandas therapeutic mineral pools
Great walks along the coast viewing our famous migratory birds along with the information centre
Or the glorious bush tracks of Waharau park where bird life is once again flourishing
Cycling on safe cycle ways which are soon to be extended
Fishing - some of the best being the schnapper breeding grounds
Boating with many very pretty bays around the Firth of Thames to explore
Kayaking for those considerably more energetic than us
The famous fish and chip shop along with the Bay View Hotel with a sheltered garden bar for family dining
All providing year round fun

My forebears were some of the earliest settlers in New Zealand in 1853. My great grandfather bought land in Clevedon and together with a Matheson cousin they were the first to venture into the Hunua and Paparimu districts where they took up land. My grandfather and father followed and once I had finished College and five years of commercial experience in Auckland I married then together we purchased a 69 acre part of the original 3000acre estate building to a 70 cow Jersey herd in 1959. We sold this property well in 1960 and moved to a rundown 730 acre sheep and beef property in the King Country. This prospered and ran 3,000 breeding ewes and supporting cattle and due to its close proximity to Te Kuiti yards and rail allowed us to purchase and fatten store lambs cheaply on impressive summer country. We increased the holding to around 1000 acres and in 1966 had 11,000 sheep and lambs on the place at one time. When wool prices collapsed in 1967 we sold and I took up a position with an ICI subsidiary in Queensland doing farm advisory work. Here I learnt some of the diverse uses to which land could be put as Queensland grows practically everything except rubber and cocoa. During this time I was offered a position with the World Bank working in Trinidad and Tobago but we declined for family reasons having three children in colleges in New Zealand. Returning in 1969 I took up work in the travel industry in Auckland and focussed more on the development of my 1,100 acre Whitianga coastal property purchased in 1966. I syndicated a forestry partnership with eight good friends and today we have a 300 acre radiata plantation almost ready for harvest. Several years of property development in Auckland followed building townhouses in the Eastern suburbs. My real estate career began in 1986 at Beltons in Remuera where I found work interesting and rewarding - both financially (because I achieved) and emotionally because it`s great to help vendors get a good result. I moved when Harcourts opened first in Auckland and sold their first auction in that city from the Remuera office. I attained first in the branch and became one of the top ten salespeople in Harcourts nationally. When Ann and I teamed up in 1993 I moved to North Shore City and worked with Impact Real Estate - a team of very focussed and motivated people. After purchasing a 32 hectare property at Mangatawhiri Ann and I worked with Barfoot and Thompson in Papakura and Pukekohe gathering a good deal of feeling for the district and its needs. To this end we felt our experience could best be used in conjunction with Gordon Pryde in Franklin Real Estate free of the strictures imposed on sales staff by the large companies.
