Kirstie joined real estate in 2015 after over 20 years in local retail and the customer service industry. She finds it exciting to be involved and working in their award-winning rural team alongside her father Kevin Richardson, assisting clients and customers in and out of property. She had the pleasure of working alongside Maurice Butler for over 5 years and, although he has now stepped down and is currently enjoying retirement, he is still very supportive of them as they carry on with the successful business he created. Kirstie has lived in Whakatane all her life with the exception of the time spent overseas on her OE and working in the UK. She is outgoing and friendly and an honest, reliable and keen worker. Kirstie enjoys dealing with people, and helping to assist with everything real estate whether they are looking to move to the Whakatane area or considering to sell.

The Butler name is well known in the local area and Doug is one of many. He comes from a farming background and after 13 years working in New Zealand and overseas he is very happy to return to this lifestyle that he knows so well.

His previous working life was varied and exciting – including four years of guiding big game hunters in Canada, UK and Australia, three years of Resource Exploration in the Outback and six years working in the industrial electrical industry throughout NZ and the Pacific.

Having returned to his parent’s farm here in Whakatane, Doug, a farm boy at heart with an appreciation for all things agricultural, is ready to carve a new path as a Rural Real Estate Agent. His youth and energy will add value to the Rural sales team here at Property Brokers Whakatane and the team are excited to have him aboard.
