Born in Hamilton, Bev attended Hamilton Girls' High School and has raised a close knit family comprising of two daughters and one son.

Bev is a great Waikato Rugby supporter, loves gardening and keeps fit by walking at least three times a week. Bev has a wealth of local knowledge being involved in numerous clubs and hobby groups over the years.
