Charles was born in Canterbury and raised on a mixed farm near Ashburton.

Along with his family he moved to Ngakuru, Rotorua in 1981, taking over the running of the farm 3 weeks later after the death of his Father.

In 1984, seeking more of a challenge and scope to grow the business, he instigated the move to a larger hill country sheep and beef property South of Te Kuiti and farmed there for thirty years.

As well as the experience gained from having farmed on his own account for over thirty years, Charles also chaired his local Federated Farmers District and served on a rural District Council.

Family considerations, including the desire to be closer to a larger centre for educational and employment opportunities for his daughter and wife, resulted in a move to Newstead in 2014.

Looking forward to a new challenge, Charles is excited about his Real Estate career. It offers him variety, an opportunity to use his people skills and negotiating ability to help others achieve their goals.

His background gives Charles an in-depth knowledge and understanding of farming, rural life and community matters. A strong believer in good financial planning and management, Charles understands the importance of sound real estate decisions and their impact on long term success.
