Mark Coffey
Bayleys Lower Hutt
Licensed Real Estate Agent (REA 2008), AREINZ, Member of the REINZ
Mark comes to his position at Bayleys from a background as previous director and owner of Tommy’s Hutt Valley, a company that he founded with his father over 20 years ago. Having worked in the Hutt for so long Mark offers valuable in-depth experience of the market over numerous property cycles and conditions. Combined with his proven skills in sales and management Mark successfully leads the teams at Bayleys Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt and Eastbourne to deliver better than expected results to their clients across a range of property classes in the Hutt.
Mark knows that listening is the first step to understanding. He focuses on helping his team to unearth their clients’ goals so they are able to provide sound market advice as to the most appropriate methods of marketing. Prior to real estate Mark worked in engineering for nearly 20 years as a toolmaker. While seemingly unrelated to real estate, these skills have transitioned incredibly well and given him a systematic approach to problem solving. He is adept at thinking outside the square and leads his team to come up with practical yet innovative solutions. Mark’s additional qualifications include a Diploma in Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree, which further inform his approach to real estate.
Mark’s interest in property also involves owning residential investment property over many years. This grass roots experience as a purchaser means he knows both sides of the equation and gives him real insight into the needs of Bayleys clients. He aims to make the process stress free and enjoyable for all involved, keeping clients fully informed every step of the way.
Mark is proudly local. He lives in Lower Hutt with his wife Michelle and their three children. In his spare time Mark enjoys restoring classic cars and is a member of a local Hutt Valley Hot Rod Club. Other interests include playing Golden-Oldies Rugby and a bit of running to keep fit. He has participated in numerous half marathons, full marathons and trained for Ironman triathlon and Coast to Coast events.
Mark has a reputation hard earned over 22 years in the real estate industry. He has been a board member and Chairman of the NZ Realtors Network and a board member of REINZ (Real Estate institute of New Zealand). His team and the wider industry now benefit from Mark’s considerable expertise.
