Maurice commenced selling real estate in 1996, and specialises exclusively in rural property sales. He has built up a large data base of clients and is experienced in all categories, including dairy, lifestyle, horticultural and coastal properties, as well as handling a wide variety of rural subdivisions in the Whakatane District.

Maurice has successfully sold many hundreds of rural properties. Having a lifelong interest in all things rural, he has had a background in rural employment, having worked as a Stock Agent and has also been a Dairy Farmer in a share milking position. Maurice is a Licensed Real Estate Agent. Together with his wife Lee-Anne he lives in the rural district of Awakeri where they run a small dry stock farm.

Maurice has an excellent understanding and knowledge of the local market and has the confidence, ability and experience to successfully promote and sell all types of property. His Rural Marketing Team includes Kevin Richardson and Kirstie Richardson who assist him in taking care of business.

Kirstie joined real estate in 2015 after over 20 years in local retail and the customer service industry. She finds it exciting to be involved and working in the real estate industry, assisting clients and customers in and out of property. She had the pleasure of working alongside Maurice Butler and her Father Kevin Richardson for sometime and, although they have now stepped down and are currently enjoying retirement, they are still very supportive of her as she carries on with the successful business Maurice created. Kirstie has lived in Whakatane all her life with the exception of the time spent overseas on her OE and working in the UK. She is outgoing, friendly, honest, and reliable. Kirstie enjoys dealing with people, and helping to assist with everything real estate whether they are looking to move to the Whakatane area or considering selling.
