We recently moved from Hawke’s Bay to Auckland, and were in urgent need of a house that we could move into straight away, yet had potential for us to add value through development. Unfortunately, as we were house hunting from home in Hawke’s Bay, it was impossible for us to get to the weekend open homes. My husband and I are happily the-almost-previous-owners of 11c Taramea Street. We tried unsuccessfully to sell the house 18 months ago but the market was tough, and having a house with some issues was a disadvantage in an already subdued market.
